To My Esteemed Colleagues and Friends,
As most of you know, I have been suffering from health problems that have kept me from serving in my practice the last couple of months. I want to sincerely thank Dr. Michael Simmons for stepping in for me as he has provided terrific care for my patients. Unfortunately, the doctors have told me that I cannot return to work quickly, so I have made arrangements with Dr. Michael Woods of Simply Southern Smiles who has graciously agreed to take over my patients orthodontic care with the same terms of service.
This year marks my 44th year of practicing orthodontics. I began my private practice following graduation from University of North Carolina Department of Orthodontics in May of 1975 and have enjoyed the privilege of working with you, some of the finest group of professionals who have been so very kind, charming, intelligent and gracious towards me throughout my career. We have truly served together to create many beautiful smiles that will give our mutual patients a lifetime of value and satisfaction. There is no way to properly thank you for your professional help and friendship over the years. Please be assured that your kindness towards me will never be forgotten. I feel lucky and blessed to have been a part of such a wonderful community and to share in the care and treatment of so many. This move is the perfect opportunity for me to transition into retirement and I believe I have found the ideal Orthodontic Specialist to help me do this.
As many of you already know, Dr. Woods is a skilled and talented orthodontist. He possesses the energy, vision, acumen, and motivation to provide excellent treatment with quality care for his patients. I highly recommend him to you as he cares greatly for people and our community. Dr. Woods received his B.S. degree in Biology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dentistry with honors. He then went on to three additional years of graduate training in Orthodontics at University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Woods is a Board-Certified Orthodontist (American Board of Orthodontics) with over six years of private practice experience and a proven track record. Please do not hesitate to pass over to him any goodwill I have earned with you over the years for I believe he will serve you and your patients with outstanding care and service.Â
With your help and understanding I trust you will hear of a seamless transition as I will be available to Dr. Woods to discuss any specific needs related to ongoing patient care. I encourage you and your team to contact Michael and his team should you hear of any patient concerns as they are ready to serve you. Joining his team will be some of the key team members from my practice, which should help our patients be more confident and comfortable with their new Orthodontic family.
